a) if you don't have a '440, then you REALLY needs a '440. This makes even a
better VCO, I have personally seen one calibrate the ∗same∗ as a VCO over 5
octaves (within 0.1Hz).
b) the '485 has a LOT of distortion, as a filter it's not all that good but
Trent Resnor (Nine Inch Nails) has 4 of them :)
