I've been gathering the materials to build a MOTM cabinet to have ready when my first
module kits arrive from Paul.

However, I feel like it's a bit of a gamble for me to go by the theoretical dimensions of the
panels vs. actually having one in my hands, since I don't have any actual panels to
measure from. So, I have a few questions perhaps someone who's built their own cabinet
can answer or confirm:

1) Will traditional rack rails work for the horizonal mounting structure (meaning: will the
hole spaces on the MOTM panels line up with the hole spacing of traditional rails)? I've
seen some right-angle mountable rails for sale on eBay that look like they'd work well for
using inside a wooden cabinet.

2) The MOTM catalog states that a 1 unit panel is 1.735" x 8.720". May I assume that the
actual physical space for a panel, taking into consideration that a little gap is necessary,
round up to 1.75" x 8.75"? In my case, I've planned for a cabinet that is 17U wide, and 2U
tall. By my calculations, I'm guessing it would be 17 ∗ 1.75 = 29.75" wide, and 2 ∗ 8.75 =
17.5" tall. Are these calculations realistic?

3) Will 8 inches of module depth going to be enough (please hold the jokes...!) for most of
the modules out there (MOTM, Oakley, as well as conversions... Blacet, Cyndustries, ect)?
