Well..........I don't have any MOTM modules but I do have a rather large Synthesizer.com modular that I input directly into the external inputs of a Korg Wavestation in order to use its internal effects. From there the output of the Wavestation goes directly into a Roland VS 2480 Digital Studio Recorder. Works wonderfully. SCR

Why a mike pre? Nothing mike like in these boxes.

I run mine straight into a mackie 1202vlz, not the mike inputs, just
the regular line inputs. From there into an m-audio audiophile usb,
then into the mac and cubase. No problems.
