Subject: Thanks (I think) for the great sale!

From: "Paul Schreiber" <synth1@...>
Date: 2006-09-01

After the last day flurry of orders arrived, the sale is over. I'm still in a
bit of shock, as the result far exceeded expectations.

692 kits
97 assembled (not counting '650s, about 22 were bought)

I'm sure Jay is quickly trying to guess how much $$$ that is, while I am
figuring out the $$$ to spend on parts to cover all of this (I had planned for
about 500 kits and 60 assembled).

Needless to say, I will have to order additional parts to cover all the orders,
and the #1 part that I will have to wait on (and so will everyone else) are the
Spectrol pots. I have 800 on order now for the 149 cermets, will have to order
the 100K logs and more 100K linear, too. The current lead time is
∗mid-November∗, and there is not a thing I can do about that. So, chances are,
if you do not receive modules by Oct. 10th or so, it will be the 2nd half of
November. People that PayPal'd will get bumped up in the line.

Also, I will need to kit the VCOs up and that will take a while. I'm handing off
parts and pc boards to Shane the tech to start soldering this weekend (he's has
a LOT of soldering to do).

Indiana will start shipping kits around Thursday of next week. There are 345
kits made up in the first 'batch': this batch will take care of most shipments
in Sept. There are ~50 more to ship until the pots run out.

Lastly: ∗∗∗IMPORTANT∗∗

if you place a credit card/debit card order, you need to have the funds/balance
ready to go NOW. Because Monday, I'm starting to run the cards (not all orders,
the ones for the first batch). And if I get a "bounce back" on the card, you are
going to the REAR of the pile (that's November). This is a pet peeve of mine,
you have been warned :) If you want me to wait until a certain date, send me an
email with your ORDER #. If you want to change cards, etc, tell me THIS WEEKEND.

OK, my head's a reeling (in the East), I have to get going. Assuming there are
an average of 100 parts per module, that's ~80,000 parts. Ack.
