Hi
Off course money is always an issue but my advice is DONT
UNDERESTIMATE THE PSU. I´ve done a lot of DIY stuff so when I
started my modular setup with some MOTM filters I used an old
7815 / 7915 PSU (even though Paul S adviced me that it wasnt good
enough) and I had all sorts of hum problems. Not loud but enough to
influence sound in a bad way.
I finished my DIY cabinet in March and bought a PowerOne directly
from Farnell and mounted in the cabinet and the sound improvement
was BIG.
just my 2 cents
