Subject: What is unfolding the next 6 weeks

OK, I have the current kits (already bagged up, sitting on the shelf), panels,
pc boards and "loose parts" all counted up.

a) I have send the first shipment list to Indiana. The people on this list are
the ones that offered to pre-charge, and a few that ordered before the actual
start of the sale.

b) I tried to pick the people that would get "ship complete" right away. What I
don't want to happen is split 1 order into 3 shipments as parts arrive (OK the 1
exception is a certain person that ordered 28 kits at once).

c) this first batch should ship out, no later than Aug 1st. As ∗always∗ (cough):
I will send an email when it ships.

d) This first batch is about 24 total kits. Once these are shipped, then next
set of kits will ship. This set will depend on what we have in stock as of
August 1st (NOT what has been ordered). I am ∗guessing∗ this will be another 25
or so kits (out of the 400+ ordered). I expect all of these to ship no later
than Aug. 15th.

e) the item that will hold up shipments will be either wire or front panels
(both of these 2 suppliers are slow). So, if you do not get a "happy email" by
August 15th, then that means you (and about 56 other people) will have to ∗wait∗
for the parts to arrive. Now, I am ∗ordering∗ these on Monday the 24th. I
∗expect∗ then to arrive around Sept 1st. That means if you are order #120 or
later, ∗chances are∗ you will not see any modules until after Sept. 1st.

f) Once all these parts arrive, it will THEN take at ∗least∗ 4 weeks to ship the
remaining kits. So, if you are past Order #200, ∗chances are∗ you will not see a
kit until October.

Hopefully, all of the above is a "worse-case scenario" and the ship times will
be sooner. But, past history has shown the panel vendor is running 5-7 weeks on
average.
