Typically, I have done all the panel designs in the past. The
requirement of our silk screener has been CorelDraw version 7, which
is an older version. Although a few people have CorelDraw themselves
and have sent me finished designs, most people send mockups which I
then transfer into CorelDraw. I have layer templates that I use which
allow me to whip up the design in 20 minutes or so.
What takes longer is if I have to consult with the customer, because
they tried to cram in stuff which doesn't fit, or there are other
problems.
We will beat the FPD prices on custom panels by a country mile if we
can eliminate the silkscreen, even if I still end up having to enter
the designs in a vector program by hand.
