John, please read the very first page of the manual, where it says "two integrated 24dB filters per channel".

That would be 2 x 24db filters per channel x 2 channels. In what way does that not add up to 96?

No, bro, the DAF-1 is a stereo filter. Two mono filters. DAF = Dual Analog
Filter.


I find 96dB/oct a bit much, personally, but still... its an option.

Well, it's an option if you've got a pair of DAF-1s. ;-)
