Subject: Re: [motm] MOTM-650 ARP (was: MOTM-650 NAMM video)

Just realized I wasn't very clear on what "brownian" means.

A "Brownian' option on an arpeggiator is sort of a combination of random
and up/down. Instead of randomly picking a note to play, the 'brownian'
option picks from one of three options randomly, "move to next higher
note, move to next lower note, stay at the current note." At least, I
believe that's the typical function. It might just choose between move
up or move down. This produces some really musical patterns, and it's
often my favorite to run the 'lead' in various arrangements. I can
probably dig up a recording I did with ARP-X8 ages ago.

"Brownian" arp sequencing would be a really killer feature. I remember
hearing that the firmware would be upgradable... Do I hear a firmware V
2.0 feature here? ::bats eyelashes::
