In most instances, users would probably want to synchronize events, in
which case they'll use an external clock, and the controls and output
jacks for the internal clocks wouldn't be used. Eliminating these
might free up space or $$ for more useful features.

If users wanted each S&H to run independently, this would still be
easy with the clock inputs.

So it seems like making this more modular (dropping the clock) might
free up space for more useful features.
