Subject: Korg Polysix MOTM Conversion

Hey all,

Check out the following rough and tumble sample of a conversion I am working on. A while ago I bought a used Korg Polysix to use for SSM chips. Bad news... no chips on arrival. Good news, KLM-368 BBD effects board in tact and in great shape. Thanks to some tips from Old Crow I have now got it running, albeit on a crutch with rate control, but the ensemble mode still sounds great. Contrary to my earlier thoughts, I am able to run full volume signals into it without having to do much attentuation. Great BBD FX and will fit into 1U with the original board and one of the Stooge brackets.

Thanks Crow! Check out the following link for some really bad playing and voice-over, but you can get the idea of what this thing sounds like.

Modules used:
Korg Polysix FX module
3 x MOTM Ultra VCO
1 x MOTM 830 Mixer for 5V bias control to control rate on FX LFO
1 x MOTM-420 to invert one side of the audio
1 x MOTM Multi (man I need more of these)
Recorded into my computer and vox overdubbed poorly with a mic and soundforge

PS. Chorus and Phase sound like crap. Not sure why the LFO is not sweeping properly but like I said there are still some bugs to work out.
