Subject: alternatives to silkscreening?

Can the silkscreening "ink" be applied with a rubber stamp? (And what is
that ink, by the way?)

I've considered getting rubber stamps made with the pot knob registration
pattern (in 0 to 10 and -5 to +5 versions) but you could conceivably stamp a
whole panel.

You can make the stamps yourself for about $300. For example, this place
http://www.etch-o-matic.com/stamp.html sells kits that will produce stamps
up to 6" by 8". That is not quite large enough for our panels. Or is it?
Actually, stampers can be made with a few pieces of rubber because of gaps
in the panel artwork. There may be larger stampmaking kits available, too.

The big question: Will a rubber stamp produce a good image?
