Subject: RE: [motm] Re: What MIDI Controller for MOTM-650?

I should clarify: most sub $500 synths feel like crap to me - not plain controllers. There are several good
sub-$500 controllers...

I have an NR 25 but I haven't got my 650 yet. I picked the Novation because I needed a small
controller for desktop use and figured I'd get a synth engine while I'm at it. I played around with
competitors and for the price I thought the Novation had the best feel. The UI is a bit convoluted,
but I am using my PC to program it. I liked the key action the best of the sub-$500 controllers.
Most of the others are plain crap. For a full-size kb I think Paul's recommendation of StudioLogic
is right on. But I've already got some other vintage keyboards and am not ready with my MOTM
system to go with a dedicated controller. I like the NR 25 for my purpose and will be interested
seeing how it plays with the 650.

Is anyone using a Novation Remote 25, 49 or 61.

If so , how is it.

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies, everyone.  I am leaning toward this one:

http://www.edirol.com/products/info/pcrm80.html

People say the Edirol keyboards are good.  And the software supports
Windows 98SE.  Now all I need is my MOTM-650!
