All,
After a lot of thought I've decided that Stooge Industries will
continue. It is the most appropriate way to honor Larry, and I believe
that the services we provide to the MOTM community are too valuable to
let it go. (Sorry if that sounds immodest.)It sounds pretty balanced to me.
I will strive to live up to Larry's example of service and support for
all our customers.
I can't promise that all of the more esoteric activities will
continue, such as hand building assembled power supplies on rack
panels. Maybe they will. But it is definitely my intention to continue
all of the mainstream stuff such as stooge panels, cabinet rails, and
pcb brackets. Larry had already announced that wood cabinets were
discontinued.
Specifically I / we need:1.- cables
2.- flat rails3.- (stooge) panels4.- PCB bracketsWith these four things, virtually anyone with some time and a soldering iron can make their "thing" into a MOTM format module.I encourage you to continue with Stooge Industries (encourage, encourage ... does that feel good?) but I also recommend that you concentrate on the above 4 areas. Other people might have a different list and I would be interested to see what they recommend is "ESIPL" (that would be "Essential Stooge Industries Product Line") ;-) Opinions anyone? I don't mean to imply that Stooge Industries is a democracy, but input from his customers on what they consider essential has got to be of help to Moe.
Please be patient with me over the next few weeks as I sort out the
logistics of this changeover.
It is my understanding that Larry had completed shipment of all the
current order of patch cables, and the next panel run had not started
yet, so hopefully I can start again with a fairly clean slate. If you
have current unfinished business with us and we owe you something,
please contact me and let me know.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Moe
