I opened this e-mail and I don't even remember reading it... all of a
sudden it's 20 minutes later and I'm just able to think again. I simply
can't believe it. This is a black day for the MOTM family.
Even though I live way out East in Connecticut, far from Larry's home, I
actually was fortunate enough to meet Larry a couple of years ago. He
was doing a motorcycle ride through the state and we were able to get
together and go out for some dinner. We had plans to do it again soon.
We "met" on this list and have had a long-running and fairly heavy
correspondence about synthesizers. When the opportunity came to actually
meet, I was a bit apprehensive -- I mean, who is he ∗really∗, you know?
But as soon as I started talking with him in person I quickly realized
that here was a genuinely good guy, very friendly, very positive... and
many of us know how helpful he's been with his various services to the
MOTM community. He was truly one of the 'good ones.'
It is going to take a while for this to settle in.

Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I report that Larry and his wife Anne
were killed Sunday when a car pulled out in front of the motorcycle
they were riding.
They were returning from a weekend biking trip to Wisconsin, where my
wife Dianne and I had joined them. When I didn't get an email from
him, we called the house and got the terrible news.
