hello all,

very interesting text by Juergen Haible - as a non muso, i'm very much tied
to the three note sequence / two note bass line mentality - with sequence
variations provided by the fact that i can't even be trusted to play a three
note riff correctly. meanwhile, i finally got my digital camera working, and
so enclosed is a shot of my developing beer-moth:
the lateral struts (exactly 11u) are spares from a Neve console with sliding
nuts for securing the panels. the side panels are just 10" x 15u 3mm sheet
with countersunk holes for the struts. bottom right is a patch panel that
connects to a rear mounted 20 pin EDAC connector, with an 8m eight way loom
heading off into the sunset. i came up with 11u x 15u as firstly i had some
convenient length struttage, and second, one supply is sufficient for the
entire cabinet - talking of which will get an MDF sleeve, and probably fake
fur / tolex / something similarly nasty. i'm sure these struts are an off
the shelf job somewhere - if anyone wants more info - give me a shout. in
the meantime i'm off to bleep...
cheers
