Glad you like the page, Mike. It essentially lists the "creme de la creme"
of Synthesizer-DIY (Do It Yourself) for 2004. The SDIY group members
nominated the year's best projects several months ago. We just finished
voting last weekend, and here are the results:
http://www.bitshifted.com/SDIY2004/results.asp.

Someone else asked me to leave up the page of nominees
(http://www.bitshifted.com/SDIY2004/2004noms.asp) because it's a list of
great projects. It's not going anywhere.

Despite the DIY aspect, some projects are available commercially, including
the P3 Sequencer. Some guys sell PC boards, such as the contest winner, Ray
Wilson.

P.S. Paul Schreiber is arguably a DIY guy, too -- he's certainly active on
the SDIY list (thanks, Paul!) -- but I think we all consider him to be a
Major Leaguer, and thus "above" our little contest. In case anybody was
wondering.
