As a new MOTM dude from Canada and a reasonably experienced eBayer I
have this to emphasize just in case Paul didn't get the message across:
DO NOT USE UPS TO SHIP TO CANADA!!!!!!!
The reason is this: the brokerage fee they charge is HUGE compared to
what you will pay via USPS. USPS packages will wind up at your local
Canadian PO and you will get a card in the mail. You then go down to the
PO and pay the PST and GST and a $5 CDN Canada Post handling fee.
Incidentally if you are a Canadian buyer using Digi-Key to purchase odds
'n sods they have a catalogue you can get in Canadian dollars and the
prices include customs and brokerage fees and they ship Purolator. Very
convenient! Does Mouser have a similar set up?
