Yeah, mockups are a good thing! A friend gave me an old vat (?) made
of chip board. Originally used for flower pots he cut it down to house
some modules before his real cabinet was ready.
Now I got it and I'm happy because I can "practice" all the "delicate"
stuff like PSU mounting, flat rails (which come quite handy since the
old boards tend to splinter easily) etc.
It's pretty ugly but very helpful. And it gives me a good chance to
adjust my ideas of the final cabinets.
It's sort of a prototype stage if you want ;-)

How many single row top cabinets you have got meanwhile on your main
cabinet?
Two or three? 2 row slanted + Magic Bus is a bit lower than 10U I guess.
So with 12U on top of the wings you're at about the same height?
I'm getting dizzy! ;-)

hehe - but with a system big like your's lack of some patching talent
could be compensated with shipping talent ;-)))

seriously - I really do admire people like Robert Rich and all others
who manage to _play_ a modular system live in a way that it's more
than just stage decoration.

cheers, Michael.
