Yes for sure :)
The new module i am designing ( final pcb prototype is under assembly )
is a CV-Quantizer/Wavetable in MOTM format... BUT unlike all other
Quabtizer systems , my module , named "Quantix-8" is fitted with 64KB
of SRAM intead of the eprom. A microcontroler manage the STAM for
load/save operation through MIDI ... This allow a super simple and fast
edition or changes on table .64KB mean 2 matrixes od 16x16
waveforms/scales in 256samples per wave...
To control it you can use CV ( bank/wave select) or MIDI messages (
controler/program changes) or even logic banana inputs ( trig mode).
Additionnal feature for free :the Quantix8 can work as a MIDI to CV
interface ( a 8 bit thing..)
This module is no more no less than an eprom emulator editable by MIDI
and as this, it can be used to replace the eprom on many classic
quantizers.
The input of the Quantix8 is modular : so you can plug there many kind
of specialised inputs pcbs ( piggy back assembly)
-a fast ADC with zero detector ( for quantizer/wavetable )
-a counter/divider drive it by pulses with a hi speed VCO ( wavetable)
-an classic ADC with external convert logic for CV quantize
I am also designing a 16 bits version to add to the excellent ACS
quantizer. It will be very cool to edit new scales/waveforms on PC and
then download them to the Quantizer to try them...
Panels, schems pcbs are already designed and will be released at
http://m.bareille/free.fr very soon (+/-1 week ) ... More to come ...
Have fun!
Cheers,
Marc B.
Unfortunately, they are not able to take any orders
