Message Modcan modules that I have seen are built off a PCB that has edge connector pads. The boards are mounted on 1" stand-offs with 90 degree brackets from the front panel and all pots and jacks are wired to pads on the edge of the PCB. This makes different pot and jack arrangements trivial.
Standard Modcan panels are 1/8" aluminum, just like MOTM but with anodized printing. The B-Series appears to be more like the synthesizers.com panels with thinner aluminum but with the folded edges. Frankly, I like the panel design better since it fixes the classic "sea of knobs" problem that MOTM has allowing better visual differentiation between modules. Since the knob and jack placement is independent of the PCB design, there is greater freedom to layout the panel with knobs and jacks in places that might make more sense than with the MOTM "grid" layout. Oddly, the the A-Series Modcan modules, the panels are too narrow to take advantage of this flexibility - go figure.

I recall seeing a photo somewhere that showed all Modcan pots and jacks were
wired from the PCB, so Stooge versions should not be difficult. I too would
be interested in some MOTM conversions of designs that aren't otherwise
available in our preferred format.
