...and he doesn't have the small daughter board installed that is necessary to run the VX-351 CV Expander at 1V/oct!  I've had to replace the touch pad on my Voyager and it was quite easy.  Despite the complicated boards, it is pretty easy to change out sub assemblies - likely the only way repairs can be made.  I find it interesting that thru-hole resistors were used while the rest of the board is clearly surface mount.  I wonder if that was perceived as being part of the true-analogue nature of the synth?
