Have you taken a look at the SKB popup mixer case?
http://www.skbcases.com/product/pro_audio/mixer/skb19-p12u.htmlIt's a standard rack size in width, 12 units in height and 5" deep. I
have two of them: one for some Waldorf synths and one for my
yet-to-be-built MOTM modules. You can fit about a Minimoog's worth of
modules in one of these cases.
I've looked at the case you're thinking about. I have a 12 unit
"cube" rack. It works great but it won't fit in a car door. It's been
sitting in my drummer's house (several of his houses by now) for
years. I find the popup mixer cases much more portable as long as you
can get away with the 5" depth. My Waldorfs fit in there just fine,
but there's no way I can get my Matrix 6R in it, for example. It's
perfect for MOTM modules, however.
There's nothing wrong with the case you're looking at, I've just
chosen to go a different route.
