Actually, a more correct answer is Doug Kraul. He was a contributor of Electronotes, and did the pcb layout for the '300. The design is based (in part) from a EMu Systems 1200 VCO "submodule" reversed engineered by Charlie Thompson. Doug, Charlie and I all worked together at Data General in Austin TX in 1979-1980.
