If you order this CD, DO NOT get the insurance unless someone is home to
sign. Mine arrived today but it arrived signature required and I actually
work during the day. So, UPS would not leave it.
Sad, to think I paid an extra $2 for this.

Carlos "Switched-On Boxed Set" waiting for me. All comparisons to Ferrante
& Teicher aside, I think everyone needs to have this set in their
collection.

that I never knew were there before, and this is from someone who wore the
grooves off of three previous LP copies!

> For historical value alone, this set is a necessity. Prior to the
release of "Switched-On Bach" in 1968, electronic music was seen as an
"avant-garde" thing, relegated to the basements of University Music
departments and little else. After SOB came out, the synthesizer became a
household word, and Bob Moog became a GOD! As I have stated before,
Switched-On Bach is what got me hooked on modulars in the first place, and
having newly-remastered recordings after all of these years is a real
treat!
>
> This set is really beautiful. It contains all of the music from Wendy's
4 Baroque synth albums (Switched-On Bach, The Well-Tempered Synthesizer,
Switched-On Bach 2, and Switched-On Brandenburgs) plus some cuts never
before released to the public. Also included are some narrations by Carlos
herself on her thoughts while putting together these epic recordings. Two
booklets are also included, giving all of the original liner notes from the
4 albums, plus discussions of the Moog synthesizer modules used. The
fourth disc in the set also includes hundreds of image and text files taken
from Wendy's years of work in the field, and a sample software analog synth
program is thrown in to boot!

> The list price for the set, put out by East Side Digital, is around
$65.00; I managed to get my copy from a place called The Artist Shop for
$52.99 plus $5.00 shipping. This is a link to their site:
