No midi files or sequencers were used in any of these MP3's. Every single note is played by hand.
The following bits and pieces are some tests in composing in the style of others. If I ever get to doing full pieces, the sounds will change and there will be changes in the music.
This is the last several measures of a piece in the style of a Bach concerto.

http://home.att.net/~elhardt/Bach_Style.mp3This is the introductory part of a piece reminiscent of Larry Fast. The only filters used were the motm 490 ladder filter and Moogerfooger ladder filter. Some of it was recorded without a click track which allowed easy tempo changes without fussing with Cubase's method of handling such things, but was still a bit tricky to do none the less.
Gear used: MOTM and Dotcom synths, Moog 12 Stage Phaser, SBF-325 stereo flanger, reverb

http://home.att.net/~elhardt/Synergy_Style.mp3Not really a synth piece, but it falls under the topic. This is a piece reminiscent of a Mannheim Steamroller piano interlude. I came up with it about 20 years ago when improvising one day and memorized it. It's a slow, new age sounding piece. Uses sampled piano (too short a decay, not much velocity control) and the background storm was done on a Supernova VA synth. I snaked that from my Halloween piece and removed some bass to thin it out. It may come up sounding too loud, so bring down the volume.
