Dear MOTM group,
First, I must say that the SN76477's are spoken for. Secondly, I
must point out that I really do intend to give freely any small parts
that you may desire. If I paid for that part or object, then you
will pay what I paid. Let me assure you, that the price I paid is
definately cheaper than eBay and probably ridiculously low by any
standard. If the object of your desire is large/heavy, then you will
pay for the shipping and ONLY the shipping. I can certainly put a
thing into a box and tape it shut without requiring compensation.
Things that I intend to make money from are sold on eBay. These are
usually devices that have more hype surrounding them than is deserved
(seriously, I made $120 selling 16 germanium transistors that were in
the original packaging. I have nothing against making a profit, it
just isn't my primary objective.) and I probably will keep another,
better, object that is worth far less. A case in point - I own two
Dukane industrial P.A. amps. The circuit is nearly identical to a
1958 Fender Deluxe guitar amp. The Dukanes have better parts and
build quality, sound wonderful and cost me less than $30 to drag home
and refurbish. A 1958 Deluxe will sell for over $750 in ratty
condition, cost another $250 to rebuild and will blow up if you look
at it wrong.
I have no intention of retiring early from the profits of my parts
stash. Consume freely! If it may cost something, we'll work out the
details.
Now then, who wants an Allison lab filter? 10,000 .003 mfd ceramic
caps? NOS pointer knobs of all persuasions? A few thousand 100
microhenry inductors? Tube preamp? Let's talk!
