my 2 cents: I'm not a big fan of forums mainly because I have to
actually make the time to browse to it and participate. With the email
list, I get all my messages in my mail client which I have open all the
time. It's just easier for me that way. Also, as you said in a latter
message, people who prefer forums tend to stop using the list and I'd
rather have us all on one system be it email or forum, but not both.
Regarding yahoo, it's only a pain if you use a browser to view
messages. Since I have mine delivered via email, I never have to
actually interact with groups.yahoo.com. Moving a list is a big
hassle.
