I have one of these 2-space Gator cases, they are very similar to an SKB,
but they do have some flaws of their own, I only bought the case because I
had store credit, and that store was closing it's doors for good. I have one
of my extra JD-990's in it, and it works well for that purpose... it is
going on Ebay soon.
the noted flaws: The threaded screw holes for the rack mount screws are just
a plate with double stick tape on the inside of the backside of the rail,
and if you "push" to hard when you put in the first screw, the plate will
fall off and you have to pull everything out to start over.
To secure the lids, it has 2 "tabs" that fit into 2 slot flanges like a
hinged removeable lid, and then the twist locks on the sides... but it did
come with a key lock as a bonus surprise...
regards, Markk

Subject: [motm] skb style cases
hello all,
this maybe of interest to those looking at an SKB style case
here in the UK, Smart Sound
0800 731 7541
www.smartsounddirect.com
have some ABS cases very similar to the SKB pop-up case but without the
corner flanges
i think the brand is Gator, but there's no real info
code is ABS-FMR
12U, rackmount depth 11cm
£69-99 that's almost half the price of an SKB (last time i looked)
cheers
