I've been experimenting with my new Encore Frequency Shifter, and I
made an unexpected discovery. I patched my ADV snare drum through the
FS, driven by a simple LFO beat. By giving it just the slightest
amount of shift, modulated by a slow LFO, the drum comes to life as
it takes on the effect of the frequency shift, as though the drum is
being hit at different spots closer to the rim. It makes the simplest
rhythm sound much more complex.
