Heres the same old answers:
No-Clean Solder is 21 AWG DigiKey Part #KE1400-ND
Organic Solder is 25 AWG DigiKey Part #KE1301-ND
Paul uses Resistors from DigiKey. 5% Carbon Film QBK series
For Example: 22K would be 22KQBK-ND
1% are Metal Film XBK series
For Example 51.1K would be 51.1KXBK-ND
If you got 1 pound of each solder type you would have enough for
maybe 50 kits.
Would the synth sound different with all 1% resistors?
I very much doubt it. The tolerance defines the range of values
which are acceptable as being within 5% or 1% of the specified
value. That doesn't mean that the values are really off by that
much, it just means they could be. Paul not only uses 1% values, in
really critical spots he uses .1% tolerance resistors. In most
cases the operating temperature could affect the resistance values
more so than being out of tolerance.
