Subject: What's coming up....

Well, my vacation has ended for the most part. Maybe it's the fact today was 79F (record high)
and I thought it was March already. But I've turned on the soldering iron, and started arranging
the kit ship orders. I did get to play some of:

Call of Duty: most fun in a WWII game since 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein'. Will run your
graphics card to the max, though.
Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna: still my favorite "no brain/reflexes required" game. Great
graphics, beats Mine Sweeper :)
Deus Ex: Invisible War: OK, not much different that the first one, really. Too much going hither
and yon (which is why I never liked Neverwinter Nights, either).

OK, so much for THAT.

Here is, roughly, the order and very loose dates for upcoming stuff for 2004.

1) WaveWarper. I'm building the 3 "sign-off" modules tomorrow. In fact, 2 of these will ship out
next week without manuals :) The kits will ship around Feb. 10th. There are about 60 of these on
order. It will take me the month of Jan. to get these together, and to write the manual (on
CD-ROM). I also plan to add all of the 'old' manuals to this ROM.

2) MOTM-480 filter. This will ship AFTER all of the '510 kits ship. So let's say "end of Feb.".

3) MOTM-650 MIDI-CV converter. I an getting CPU chips tomorrow that have the first-pass
arpeggiator code, microtuning support, and voice allocation code. Code tweaking will continue the
month of Jan. In Feb, I work on getting the module "production ready" which means front panel and
PC boards. So, I'll say "middle of April" for shipment. The features in this thing are
jaw-dropping, IMHO. And I'm going to lean on the programmers for a new MOTM-exclusive feature,
too :)

4) MOTM-260 ARP 2600 filter: I have 2 "beta" PC boards for the filter "core". Next week, I plan
to fire 'em up and verify operation. The PC board for the "core" needs 1 more pass for
production. The module itself is this pc board plugged into a "motherboard". Shipment in May. No
price yet, the parties are haggling :) But pencil in $239 kit $339 assembled for budget
purposes.

5) MOTM-450 Fixed Filter Bank: needs production front panel and pc boards. Shipment in June/July
time frame.

6) Interpolating Scanner and SEM filter: I'd like to do these 2 sooner, but realistically, let's
say August.

7) Cloud Generator/uSeq: these are firmware-dependent. The programmers need a break after working
so hard on the MIDI-CV. So I'm going to say "in the Sept timeframe".

8) Triple Preamp/Envelope Follower: these are 2 'key' pieces I am well aware that I'm lacking. I
plan to do these in the background as time permits. The preamp is not that hard, but I want to do
a new type of EF "just because I can".

9) Voltage-Controlled Pulse Divider: languishing in the labs for 2 years. The issue is one of pcb
layout. I going to try and "sneak" this into the releases before Sept.

This will be ∗plenty∗ for 2004. I do NOT want to get bogged down like I did in 2003. I did a
∗terrible∗ job allocating my time last year. I'm determined this year to do a better job.

OK, the hot iron beckons.
