Subject: uVCA and signal flow question

From: "Michael" <nil@...>

Hello,
I'm new to modular synthesis. I'm building my first 2 MOTM modules
now (EG and uVCF + 900 power supply). Most of the signal flow makes
sense to me but one thing I didn't see posted anywhere... The MOTM
uVCA can pass a dc signal also correct? Which means that you can use
it to attenuate a control voltage say from a EG to a filter, and put
that attenuation amount under voltage control.

For example:
EG to uVCA in | uVCA out to Filter CV in | Midi to CV via a kenton
pro 2000 | +-5v to cv in of the uVCA linked to the mod wheel of a
controller. With this config, the mod wheel will do the same as
tweaking the CV in on the filter, which means you could sequence the
envelope depth on the filter.

Is this correct? I hate asking question's, I'm more the type to just
try and see... haha but I have no uVCA yet...

thanks,
