Well I finally broke down and decided to do my motm miniwave - with
the aid of Larry's 'manual'. What a big help - thanks for taking the
time to do that!
I started to remember the nightmare of doing wiring without much of a
road map (labels) and it really tries my dwindling patience!
Although there are indeed labels on the Blacet board - its just not
the same...and of course I got ahead of myself and did some board
wires then panel wires and ended up with a mish-mash of a web. I got
if figured out though, slowed my heart-rate down(took the meds) and
plugged her in-
and the little lights lit! and they counted in the proper binary
manner - I'm amazed. Someday I'll actually plug the thing in to a
system and see if it ALL works...now thats the test isn't it?
Oh - and just to drive some folks crazy - I did use aqua leds for the
bank and orange for the wave - looks pretty festive!
I am starting to get the idea, however, that all my homeless modules
laying out all over the place in my studio - are conspiring against
me and my Kurzweil - possibly looking to assimilate us! If you don't
hear from me in the next week or so....?!?!?!?
Lastly - I did use epoxy to secure the leds - this may be sacrilege,
but actually it pops right off the panel free and clear if you have a
change of heart. The bonus being that if you 'build up a couple
layers of epoxy - it acts as a VERY effective strain-relief for the
little guys - those leds have pretty wanky little leads - huh?
