Subject: Binary Zone On!

Hey all!
I just finished my MOTM-ized BZ2300, the Blacet Binary Zone. I must
say, this is quite the toy! You can make nice little portamento or
trill events, divide a frequency by up to six octaves, and many other
fun count-by and divide-by tricks. My favorite so far is to clock
this module with noise and set the divide controls to lower settings.
With a little lag added, this make your notes sound like their
produced by some mutant jello. Fine business, indeed, John Blacet!
While drilling my Stooge panel, however, I failed to notice that the
hole marker labelled "clock" was really for an LED. I drilled it for
an output jack! I ∗did∗ notice that the LED used the same buffer as
the intended clock outputs, so now I have two full-width clock pulse
outputs. In the near future, I'll add a 4017 wired to divide by an
odd number at this output-perhaps with a slew-to give me an
"anti-clock" output.
For those concerned- why, yes I have plugged jello into an amplifier.
The less said about this, the better...
