Perhaps you could modify an MOTM multi-jack panel to include BNC
connectors for an oscilloscope. Good 'scopes can be had for $150 or
so (check out a ham radio swapmeet in your area for some ∗real∗ deals)
and will generally let you view two signals at once. This is a great
visual aid for learning, troubleshooting, etc.

When guests want to see the beast in the studio, it makes it easier to
explain what's happening. That keeps them from being totally
overwhelmed by the (their perceived) complexity of the system.
