Subject: Curious about the Mellotron

Hello,

Having grown up in the 60's I used to and still do listen to the
Moody Blues. They used an instrument called the Mellotron.
How did it work? I remember something about 8 track tapes???
I believe it was made in the Tampa area in Florida.
Does any body still use a Mellotron?
