Hi John,
There is awhole thread about this somewhere in the archives and it had to do with toomany private posts being accidentally sent to the whole list. So the moderatorsset up the buttons as follows;
If youwant to reply privately to the person sending the post you click ‘reply’(single)
If youwant to reply to the list you click ‘reply to all’ (plural)

Why does the default on this forum go to ∗private∗ email? It is
rather annoying. Since this is a forum, 99% of the posts are for
public consumption, so do change the settings accordingly.
