Hi Mike!
Actually I am interested in producing the type
of enclosure of which you speak...
A Cyndustries 8-Pac for MOTM modules!
(It's actually been in the works for some time)
Realize that the Combo-Distro Power cards from Cyndustries.com
are MOTM 4-Pin power compatible as well as 3-pin Modcan...
(this is no accident by the way) < grin >
In fact, because both systems are part of what I call
"The 15 Volt Club," the enclosure-to-enclosure circular power
connector I have chosen is universal between these two systems,
and ∗already∗ includes provision for the MOTM and Cynthia 5 Volt
line!
Mounting holes are standardized which allow alternate rows
of the two styles of modules, as well as the sharing of various
future mounting accessories, and so on.
I am grateful to see that there is already some interest here!
It's taken me about six-months to get the design nuances,
production, and logistics for these sorted out, and bring the first
batch through production all the way to market.
SixPacs are a tremendous success, and shipping daily as we speak!
I've been to many a sheet metal shop with blueprints in hand
and learned a whole lot in the process. A big surprise to me
is that most shops are not really capable, (or interested) in
Actually producing cubes with the precision that's required.
to do this right.
I would love to hear from anyone in the MOTM Community
who is interested in this project, and needs a lightweight,
high precision, structurally sound, MOTM module mounting
set of modular MOTM module building block enclosures
that also happen to be 19" rack mount compatible!
Please have a look at www.cyndustries.com
and click the spinning SixPac on the home page.
There are many 3D graphics there and several pages of inspiration.
feel free to contact me privately at:
cynthia.webster@...(Things are rather busy around here lately,
so please understand if it takes me a day or two to reply).
Best Wishes to all, and thanks for the bandwidth!
Cynthia
