If you add a CV mod pot (two pots and three jacks per LPG), then two
LPG's would not fit on 1U.
If you decide on a 2U dual unit and add another jack and another knob
per channel to add new features and fill up the panel, then you might
as well make a 1U single LPG. No matter how you configure two LPG's
in a dual unit, if each channel has the same amount of features, then
result is always divisible by two :)
Especailly considering that competing manufacturers offer LPG's, adding
extra features seems important. Also, didn't the 292 have a
"amplitude-both-frequency" switch for each channel?? That's a
feature that might be worth keeping.
Since most folks don't know what a LPG does, I think 1U module would
sell better than a 2U module -- it would be less of risk. Anyone who
wants more LPG's could just buy more modules :)
