Subject: huge modular...

I cut my early teeth on a Polyfusion at Sound 80 in Mlps, MN.

... a friend of mine named Louis Newman, bought out the remaining stock when Polyfusion decided to quit making modular's. Though they still have one in a conference room. I stopped by Louis' house on the way from somewhere...parts unknown, and saw the huge pile of modules and racks that he had bought... he was going to make a wall of modular at that time... (hmm, I need to call Louis)

He had a brokerage company years ago called "Media Sonics / Discrete Audio" and that's where I had purchased my Moog Modular from.

Steve Porcaro from TOTO still has his, so does David Paich last I knew... though they no longer tour with them... it was the solo run on the song Rosana if you want to hear a Modular Passage.

The Polyfusion is a big modular all right, but the thing I noticed most about it... it had no "feeling" the tone was cold and sterile... I really didn't care for it much at all... but they did make the AS-1 sequencer a stand alone box... I had one of those for awhile... man, what a stroll down memory lane that was......

I still see the MOTM product line far superior... even if this guy has a reserve of say $45,000.00 do you realize how many brand spankin new top noth MOTM modules that is !!! Man-o-Man... I could have a whole bank of u600's and 24 to 36 Ultra-300 VCO's... just because I could !!! Best of all... the MOTM products still come with tech support from about 60 people, including the president...  have a nice day...
