This is critical! If you don't get it right, you
could end up damaging the board or the parts. And if
this is severe enough, the solder joints themselves,
If the bristles are too soft, you are wasting you time
since there are certain particals which require a
certain minimum force be applied before they will
break free. Insufficiently stiff bristles will not be
able to generate the required force.
Really, the best thing you can do is to test the
stiffness of your bristles. If you don't have the
necessary equipment at your disposable, there are
several testing facilities around the United States
that can test them for you.
A Taber stiffness unit of 85 to 118 will meet the
above criteria. If you are not familiar with this
