∗EVERY∗ piece of electronic mass-produced gear since 1996 uses no-clean solder. So, there is no harm (the reason for the switchover is that the constant washing using organic solder was too expensive and the EPA in CA. really made life miserable).

Subject: [motm] i think i did something stupid

hey y'all

I goofed on some soldering and Im wondering what is the proper course of action. I started my 190 yesterday (very excited that it arrived btw) and I realized i did the first half of stuffing the resistors with the no clean solder. All of the resistors are in and nothing else, half the resistors with organic solder.

Should I just continue with the organic solder on the board and not worry about it?

Should I remove the resistors and resolder them with the organic solder? I could always order replacment resistors, I need to get some stuff anyway to MOTM-ize my Time Machine.

I havnt hurt the PCB in anyway by using the no clean solder, right?

thanks
Rob
