Subject: enough is enough - the cable story

Cable ordering is officially closed. Whew !!
The rest of this is mostly cable trivia (since some people found this
interesting) If your not interested, delete prior to boring yourself
<snicker> I have not added my personal cable order yet. It will certainly
be around 100. But before my order, here is what you guys did:
46 customers ordered 1780 cables
Therefore, the average order was just under 39 cables
3 foot cables were the most popular at 494 followed closely by 2 foot cables
at 460
278 different combination of cable color, heat shrink, and length were
ordered.
The most popular cables were:
# 1 - 2 foot blue / black heat shrink @ 68
# 2 - 3 foot green / black heat shrink@ 64
# 3 - 2 foot red / black heat shrink @ 56
The biggest order was 128 cables
The smallest was 4 cables.
In addition to the USA, cables are being shipped internationally to four
countries.
Since we reached 1000 cables, I was able to get a 50 cent per-cable discount
over the already low prices I quoted you. I split the savings two ways: 1.
everyone will get an instant 25 cent per cable rebate on their order. So in
effect, the price is 25 cents a cable lower. I am applying the other 25
cents per-cable toward the logo printing cost. Paul was gracious and agreed
to pay for the logo printing. But, at 1780 cables, it was a chunk of cash.
The 25 cents per cable will significantly reduce his cost for giving us all
logos.
I am not keeping any of the savings because I am already making enough on
the deal to buy all my own cables AND put some cash in my pocket to boot.
So, it looks like a win-win deal for everyone. For those that missed out or
didn't need cables this time around, I will do this again when enough people
are ready. Look for additions to the cable page before then. For those
that might want solid colors, I will also have a line of somewhat less cool
Wise Guy Synth branded cables. :)
Many thanks to everyone that participated. My spreadsheet balances exactly
to the number of each cable ordered. So, I fully anticipate no mistakes
despite 278 different cables to sort and ship.
