Subject: Supermoe metamorphs yet again

Hi Moe, your modular sequencer keeps getting better with every
revision.

Most of the Motm Cabinets that I have seen tend to be close 16 to 20 U
here are a couple of suggestions.

Since the DAB-1084 Control Voltage Generator is 8 U wide, I would
believe most people would go for at least 2 of them. This brings the
total to 16 U. If you put 2 of them in a row, you could use the row
below it for Address Generation.

Now if arrange the DAB-1018 Address Generator Interface so that
instead having in 2 rows in 7 U, you make it a single row so it
becomes 14 U. This leaves plenty of room to put at least 2 of the DAB-
1044 Pulse/Gate Generators below. Above you would put DAB-1017
Address Generator I/O. This would make for a more ergonomic and fluid
design.

I know it makes for wide modules, but I think the ergonomics will be
simple to follow. Just an idea.

Once it gets to the pcb stage and boards will be available, will it
be possible adapt the logic boards to other formats? or will the pots
and switches be pc mounted for the Motm format only?

I think if you design the boards so the hardware (pots, switches,
jacks etc.) is separate from the logic boards, it will help you to
get people outside the Motm camp to adapt and build to the format of
their choice. A lot of people in the Banana Serge and Modcan camps
would like to have access to the functions of your uber sequencer.

Good luck,
RM
