Remember the transducer thread from a month or so ago? Well, I
think this device might work very well for that application:

mind if Larry Hendry's suggested transducer doesn't work as needed. I'm about
to buy a couple from All Electronics to find out. I've searched around and
found that brand new violins (with case and accessories) can be bought for as
little as about $60. So I'm going to give it a try.
