It is my understanding that the midi in jack will be located on the
front and replicated on the back of the module along with a midi
thru.
Please keep the midi in on the front. Some of us have cabinets with
solid backs and getting access to rear connections requires bringing
them out to the front. (More Stooge Panels!)
