Hello to all of you,
My name is John.
I am in the process of building my dream Modular. I
have been into
synthesisers since the early 70's. Had them sold them
and on and on.
I was shopping on E-bay and getting ready to buy a
mini-moog when I
discovered the MOTM. Talked to Paul and decided
instead of buying someones
piece of sh-t I would build my own. I am a working
class hero like the rest
of you (I think) so I dont have a well of money to
draw from so I am dooing
this piece by piece... Low and behold this is
addicting, Better than drugs,
bad on the ears though.
I want to give you an Idea of where I am...
so far I have a 300-310-440-420-390-490-800-910-900
I am looking for a used midi to cv... (I prefer to buy
Pauls new one when it
comes out)
I have several questions for you all
1. I saw you all talking about a joystick--I cant
figure out what you would
use this for? would it hold me off till I get the
midi-cv?
2. With my modules--with oout a midi cv ---- any
suggestions on some
patches that I could do that my wife and daughters
wont scream shut that
noise off? although what they say is much more
colorful.
I will tell you what I have for keyboards now:
micro moog, Novationa A-Station, midi keyboard, juno
106, korg sp-200.
playing into a Mackie 1202 mixer and into a crown
D-75 amp into a set of
old acoustic Bwanna dik monitors.
Now you must realize this stuff was built up through
out the years.
I am NOT a Keyboard player, (in the process of trying
to learn)
I am a commercial photographer, shoot mostly Fashion
and products... You
have all seen my work. Sams club, Target stores
ect...
I hope I havent bored you all but I felt that a little
introduction from
myself might hep me get to know you all andmake you
realize my level of
inexperience to you all.
I hope I didnt bore you all
Ciao,
John
