Ah, the perfect solution!!!
In the ideal world, I would have 1200 ∗active∗ customers ordering 8,000 modules a year. I could
have a nice 12,000sq ft building, about 7 full-time employees, blah blah blah.
Reality: I have about ∗80∗ active users, ordering about 1100 modules/year. The module "mix" is
currently 95% NEW ones (for example, this YEAR I have sold 11 MOTM-120s). So, it's a "zero-sum
game": I have to design new modules, which cause a backlog. Then I have to wait to design new
ones as the backlog S L O W L Y reduces. People really liked the MicroModules: but they are cheap
so the revenue number is less (per module). The 500 won't help: more $$$ with fewer sales. New
users that order the average 11 modules/system are how the business 'grows'. But in the current
economy, that's getting tough.
Good thing this is just a hobby.
