Yep, I think those would be good solutions for those planning to stay with
a rack mount. They start to lose their luster when you are thinking about
case style configurations of 20 to 26 units wide. I have some of the
Pro-Co patchbays in my equipment rack and can see how they could easily be
converted to multiples by setting all the switches to parallel and just
plugging short cables in the rear. One short cable on the back would
create a 4 unit multi on the front.
